Edgar Manucharyan is an Armenian footballer, born in 1987. He began his professional career at Pyunik Yerevan in 2002. In December 2004 he went on trial to Ajax Amsterdam, but picked up an injury and waited for signing a contract until July 2005. His Eredivisie debut came on 18 September 2005 in the match against AZ Alkmaar. In 2006/07 he was used rarely due to injuries and in 2007/08 he wasn’t used at all. At that time he played for the club’s youth team. In 2009/10 Manucharyan went to HFC Haarlem and then to AGOVV Apeldoorn on loan deals.
In the summer of 2010 he left the Netherlands for Armenia re-joining Pyunik. After a season with them Manucharyan was sent to Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast on a loan deal. He played for the Russian side during a season and in the summer of 2012 he was offered a 2-year contract.
Edgar Manucharyan represented the Armenia national youth teams at U17, U19 and U21 levels. In 2004 he joined the senior squad.
