Edhar Alyakhnovich is a midfielder for BATE Borisov. He was born on 17 May 1987 in Brest, Belarus.
Edhar is a graduate of Brest CYSS-5 sports academy. His first coach was Anatoly Novak.
Alyakhnovich’s professional career began in his hometown. Since 2005 he played for Dinamo Brest. For three years spent at the doubles, Edhar played 63 games and scored 7 goals. In 2007 he, for the first time, appeared on the field as part of the main squad. By 2008 Edhar became a mainstay in Dinamo Brest.
Since December 2009 Alyakhnovich represents BATE Borisov. As part of the club he played in Europa League and the Champions League, and hit the back of the net in matches against Portuguese Marítimo and Dutch AZ.
Alyakhnovich is Belarus champion, and winner of both Belarusian Cup and Supercup.
