Elinton Andrade is a goalkeeper at Náutico. He was born on 30 March 1979 in Santa Maria, Brazil.
Elinton’s youth career began at CFZ where he was being trained and featured for the club’s youth team.
In 1999 Elinton’s club offered him to sign a professional contract and join CFZ first team. Andrade signed a three-year deal and took part in almost every match for the club during 3 years.
In 2003 the footballer got an offer from Flamengo who subsequently signed him to a contract. However he was not a first-choice goalkeeper and played only 6 matches.
In 2004 Andrade transferred to Fluminense, where he hoped to acquire game practice but Elinton appeared in even less games in a season.
In 2005 Elinton was invited to play for Vasco da Gama. During two seasons Andrade appeared in 35 matches which was much more that in all previous game put together.
In 2007 Elinton received an offer to transfer to the Romanian football club Rapid Bucureşti; subsequently the player signed a two-year contract with the club. Elinton was not a first goalkeeper in the Romanian cub’s team; however he managed to play 36 matches in two seasons.
In 2009 Elinton continued his career at Marseille. The footballer realized that he would operate only as the second or the third goalkeeper in the team. But the opportunity to play in Ligue 1 seemed far more inviting. Elinton featured in 7 matches for the club since 2009 to 2012.
In 2013 the goalie returned to Brazil and joined Náutico.
