Eloge Enza Yamissi is a Central African footballer who plays as a midfielder for Velenciennes in the French Ligue 1. He was born on 23 January 1983 in Bangui, Central African Republic.
Eloge started out his youth career with Girondins de Bordeaux. He made his senior debut with La Roche VF in 2001. In the 2002/03 season, Yamissi played for Olympique Alès. However, his career really picked up steam in 2003 when the midfielder joined Nîmes Olympique. He cemented his place as a regular in the first team and made a total of 52 appearances during a two-year stint at the club.
Yamissi enjoyed even better fortune at a prominent side Troyes whom he joined in 2005. The Central African player shortly became a midfield fulcrum and in 2011 he was even given a captain’s armband. He led the club to the third place in Ligue 2 in the 2011/12 season thus winning promotion to the top flight. By the summer 2013 he made more than 100 league appearances for the club. At that time he joined Valenciennes.
Eloge Enza Yamissi is capped to the Central African Republic national team since 2010. He made his international debut in an Africa Cup of Nations match against Morocco.
