Emiliano Daniel Armenteros is a football player performing for Osasuna on a position of a left winger. He was born in Monte Grande, Argentina.
Emiliano got engaged in football while with an Argentine side Atlético Banfield. His first games in the highest division came when the player was only 17 years old. In 2005 the club sold him to Atlético Independiente that paid a sum totalling $1.000.000.
Playing for the ‘Devils’ he enjoyed his position in the main squad despite being comparatively young.
Emiliano signed for Sevilla in 2007 joining the club on loan. At first he became a part of the reserve side that played in the Segunda. During the first season he only missed two games out of 42 games scoring 7 goals. Owing to this his team maintained their position in the Segunda.
Emiliano marked his first appearance in the Primera on October 19, 2008 playing 15 closing minutes of a clash against Almería. Through the season he acted as a substitution three more times having scored against Numancia.
On August 4, 2009 after passing a medical check-out Armenteros joined Xerez on loan. Roughly two months later he scored his team’s first ever La Liga goal hitting the back of the net against Málaga. Emiliano dedicated it to his new born daughter Sofia. Regardless the effort Xerez got demoted to the Segunda.
Armenteros was loaned by Rayo Vallecano on July 15, 2010. There he achieved a personal record of 20 goals a season among which there was a hat-trick against Ponferradina on November 20. Thus he helped Rayo to earn their first La Liga promotion in eight years.
Emiliano plays for Osasuna since the summer 2012 transfer window.
Also Emiliano Armenteros participated in the U-20 Youth World Cup of 2005. The national team of Argentina became a champion in that competition and Armenteros received his gold medal as a part of the winner squad.
