Emre Çolak was born on May 20, 1991 in Istanbul, Turkey. He started playing football in early childhood and took part in different local and regional football tournaments. At the age of 11 the boy started training at Atışalanıspor.
Two years later the midfielder became one of the youth team players of Galatasaray and started playing football professionally.
In 2009 Emre Çolak signed a contract with Galatasaray and joined its senior squad. On January 17, 2010 he made his first goal in a Turkey Cup match against Denizli Belediyespor.
Emre Çolak played his first Süper Lig match on January 24, 2010 and scored his first goal on May 16, 2010 in a game against Gençlerbirliği. The season of 2011/2012 was marked with 2 goals he scored to Istanbul BB. Emre Çolak wears a number 52 jersey. On February 16, 2012 his contract with the club was extended till May 31, 2016.
