A footballer Eric Tié Bi plays at the position of defensive midfielder for Évian Thonon Gaillard FC.
Being a young player Eric entered the Olympique Lyonnais Reserves and Academy in 2006. At first he played in the youth team but in the 2007/08 season he appeared in the club’s reserve team. In the same season the midfielder featured in 6 matches playing in the reserve.
In the following season Tié Bi was already utilized at 19 league matches; however he did not manage to score a single goal during those games. The midfielder also participated as a substitute in the playoff against Sochaux B team. In the 2009/10 season he became a regular reserve team player. The player appeared in 30 matches where he displayed his offensive potential assisting to goal-scorers.
Lyon B won the Championnat de France amateur for the second consecutive season. To gain the title the side had to resist for 120 minutes in the final match and Tié Bi stayed on the pitch during the entire game.
At the end of May 2010 after a successful season at Lyon B the midfielder moved to French club Évian from Ligue 2. Eric came on the pitch on 6 August 2010 at the opening match of the season against Metz.
In the next match against Vannes OC Évian won with a 4-0 score. Thus the club took over the lead at the championship where the midfielder participated from the beginning till the very end.
