Fabian Lustenberger is a footballer from Switzerland, currently playing for Hertha BSC as a midfielder. He was born in 1988 in Nebikon, Switzerland, and came through the youth systems of SC Nebikon and FC Luzern. He graduated and in 2005 joined FC Luzern where he earned a place in the starting eleven.
In the summer of 2007 Lustenberger completed a move to Hertha BSC for €1.5 million and made 24 appearances in his first season there. His first goal for the side was netted in December 2007, which was a 1-2 loss against 1. FC Nuremberg. The following two seasons he wasn’t used regularly and in the summer of 2010 he picked up an injury that kept him aside for four months. In May 2010 Lustenberger extended his contract up to the year of 2014.
Between 2007 and 2011 he earned 18 caps for the Switzerland U18 national team.
