Felipe Lopes is a Brazilian footballer born on 7 August 1987 in São Paulo, Brazil, currently plays as a central defender for VfL Wolfsburg in Germany.
Felipe started his football career with Guarani Futebol Clube where he played 24 games in total. In 2006 a young player moved to Europe and joined Belgian R.S.C. Anderlecht, though he has had no official games for the club during the whole season and had to move to C.D. Nacional in Portugal.
Having found Portuguese football congenial to his fiery Brazilian temper, Lopes easily brought out his full potential and made his club debut on 21 December 2007 becoming a regular in the first team shortly after that. He scored his maiden goal on 3 November 2008 and even managed to participate in the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League playing in two legs against FC Zenit Saint Petersburg which ended in a 5-4 aggregate win for Nacional.
However, next season went sour for the Madeirans and the club rolled back to 7th position of the League table. It influenced Lopes to make a move to another club and he joined VfL Wolfsburg signing a three-year contract with them at the very beginning of 2012. Overall, Brazilian footballer played 14 games scoring no goals for the Wolves. In 2013 he was sent on loan to Stuttgart.
