Francisco Gento is a legendary Real Madrid player. During his youth career he played for S.D. Nueva Montaña, Union Club Astillero and Rayo Cantabria. In 1952 he made his debut in the Primera División as Racing Santander player.
One season later he joined Real Madrid where he made 428 appearances and netted 126 goals.
He was nicknamed The Gale of the Cantabrian Sea.
