Gaëtan Charbonnier. Biography

Gaëtan Charbonnier is a French striker currently playing for the Ligue 1 side Reims. He was born on 27 December 1988 in Saint-Mandé, France.

Gaëtan started out his senior career with a fourth division side SO Châtellerault in 2007. His 12 goals in 29 CFA matches were noticed by PSG scouts and Charbonnier was signed by a prominent top-flight side in the 2008/09 season. However, due to high competition at the club, Charbonnier was used predominantly in the reserve squad amassing 12 goals in 28 matches. In between 2009 and 2012, he played for Angers in the Ligue 2 amassing 23 goals in 90 appearances. In June 2012, Charbonnier enjoyed a rise in his career as he moved to the top-flight side Montpellier. One year later he switched for another Ligue 1 squad, Reims.
