Germán Darío Lux was born in 1982 in Carcarañá, Argentina. He currently plays for Deportivo de La Coruña as a goalkeeper.
He started his youth playing career with River Plate and then went on with the senior team. Lux, nicknamed Poroto, made Argentine Primera División debut in 2001 and soon he became the first-choice.
An Argentine footballer joined RCD Mallorca in 2007, where he started as Miguel Ángel Moyà’s back up, but the last one suffered an injury and that allowed Lux to appear in ten La Liga matches during his first season in Mallorca. He went on playing in his second season but the signing of Dudu Aouate in January 2009 sent him on the bench.
In 2011, Lux joined Deportivo de La Coruña, where he was a backup to Daniel Aranzubia. That season he appeared in eight matches in total.
During his international career Lux helped Argentina to win gold in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. As a part of the national team he won FIFA World Youth Championship in 2001.
