Gianluca Musacci is a halfback for Spezia. He was born on 1 April 1987 in Viareggio, Italy.
Musacci’s professional career started in 2006 at Empoli, where prior to that he studied and played for the youth teams. During first 2 seasons at the club Gianluca was periodically allowed to start Empoli matches but it wasn’t enough to make him shine.
In 2008 Empoli management wanted to give Gianluca an opportunity to earn more experience and thus sent him on loan to Massese. During the 2008/09 season Musacci made 20 appearances in Italian Serie D.
After his loan spell expired, Gianluca returned to his home club Empoli, where he continued training and irregularly playing for the club’s first team. In the summer of 2011 Musacci was loaned to Parma F.C. where he featured in 15 matches in the 2011/12 season. In 2012 Parma management decided to sign Musacci on a permanent contract. In 2013 he penned a new deal with Serie B side Spezia.
