Giuseppe Biava is a center back for Lazio. He was born on 8 May 1977 in Seriate, Italy.
Giuseppe began his youth career at Leffe youth academy, where he studied for a few years until being scouted by Albinese. Giuseppe’s youth career ended in 1995.
In 1995 Biava signed his first professional contract with Albinese after successfully performing in an exhibition match. Giuseppe played for the club during 3 seasons. At Albinese, he was often included in the starting lineup. Despite his young age and lack of experience the head coach trusted young but talented defender. During 3 seasons at Albinese Biava made 71 appearances.
1998 marked the most productive stage of Biava’s professional career. Giuseppe signed for AlbinoLeffe located in his hometown. During 2 first seasons at Celeste Biava made periodical appearances and served mainly as a backup player. In 2000 AlbinoLeffe management sent Giuseppe out on loan to Biellese to earn experience and get in shape. During the 2000/01 season Giuseppe appeared in 23 matches for the club. After returning to AlbinoLeffe Giuseppe was included in the starting eleven more often and eventually became a key defender with a total of 134 appearances and 6 goals during 3 seasons.
In 2004 Biava joined Serie A Palermo. He signed a long-term contract with the club and performed successfully there until 2008. During 4 seasons Biava was a key defender totaling 112 appearances and 5 goals for Palermo.
In 2008 Giuseppe signed for Genoa. During 2 seasons at the new club Biava featured in 48 matches and netted 3 goals. In 2010 Giuseppe Biava was transferred to Lazio and since then he started 62 games and scored 4 goals for Biancocelesti.
