Grant Hanley is a back of Blackburn Rovers. He was born on 20 November 1991 in Dumfries, Scotland.
Grant’s youth career took off in the academy of Queen of the South, where the footballer stayed till his move to the junior system of Crewe Alexandra in 2004. In 2006, Hanley joined the academy of Rangers and made a huge qualitative leap forward. The back managed to develop his skills and become a tempting transfer target for various English clubs.
In 2008, Grant decided to cast in his lot with Blackburn Rovers and moved to England, where he started to train even harder so that to get ready for a senior start. In 2010, the footballer penned his first professional contract and fired four goals in 47 fixtures for the team as of December 2012.
From 2010 till 2011, Hanley made six appearances for the Scotland national U-19 and U-21 squads. From 2011, the back has been capped four times for the full national team.
