Guilherme Siqueira

Guillherme Madalena Siqueira is a Brazilian footballer of Granada CF, playing on a position of a left defender.

In August 2004 at the age of 18 Siqueira joined Internazionale moving from Ipatinga. Before that he played for such clubs as Figueirense and Avai.

In January 2006 the footballer was loaned by Lazio as a part of a César deal with an option of co-owning the player by the end of the season.

Udinese decided to acquire Guillherme on August 11, 2006 joining the co-owner agreement. Unfortunately Siqueira never managed to become a frequent starter for the Italian side making only 3 appearances in the starting line-up and 13 times being a substitution. This player´s first match in the Serie A took place on September 10, 2006 against Messina. In the season 2007/08 Siqueira continued his performance for Udinese however his performance couldn’t be called successful as he frequently remained on the bench during the games. As far as Udinese refused to buy out the player’s contract the defender was sent on loan to a club named Ancona where he became a regular starter and scored his first professional goal.

In June 2009 Guillherme returned to Udinese because the club acquired full ownership of the player. On January 10, 2010 Siqueira replaced Paolo Sammarco on the 71st minute of a game thus making his first appearance of the season. Until the end of the campaign he featured in two more matches, all as a substitute.

Siqueira moved to Granada CF from Udinese as a part of partnership agreement between the two clubs in 2010. He was quite a regular starter during his first season in Spain and helped the Andalusians win their La Liga promotion. Mostly due to his splendid performance in the main squad of Granada Guillherme signed a four-year agreement with the side on June 30, 2011. On March 20, 2012 he managed to score from a penalty spot at Camp Nou against Barcelona.

After two successfull seasons with the Spanish club Siquiera moved to Benfica for the season 2013/2014.
