Henrik Larsson is a Swedish ex-footballer. He was born in 1971 and came through the youth system of Högaborgs BK. The he joined the senior squad, where he played between 1988 and 1992 and then signed for Helsingborgs IF, whom he helped to win promotion to Allsvenskan. In 1993 Larsson moved to Feyenoord and played for them until 1997. In that period the team won KNVB Cup titles in 1994 and 1995.
In July 1997 Henrik Larsson penned a £650,000 deal with Celtic. He had a blurred start but soon proved himself an eminent striker. While playing for Celtic until 2004, they claimed four Scottish Premier League titles, won Scottish Cups in 2000/01 and 2003/04, they won two Scottish League Cups. In 2002/03 they were UEFA Cup runners-up. His success at Celtic was interrupted with a serious injury, which left his aside for almost entire 1999/2000 season. Throughout the repiod spent with Celtic, Larsson won many individual awards: European Golden Boot, Guldbollen, SFWA Footballer of the Year (1999, 2001), SPFA Players’ Player of the Year (1999, 2001), in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 he was named SPL Top Scorer.
In 2004 he moved to Spain, where he joined Barcelona. He played for them for two seasons, with an interval in 2004/05, when he was injured, and helped the team to win two La Liga titles and UEFA Champions League in 2005/06.
In 2006 season he re-joined Helsingborg and for the period from January to March 2007 he was sent to Manchester United on a loan deal. He played for Helsingborg until 2009 and then retired. Larsson earned 104 caps for the Sweden national team and scored 37 goals.
He was the manager of Landskrona BoIS between December 2009 and November 2012.
