Hossam Ashour. Biography

Egyptian footballer Hossam Ashour was born on 9 March 1986 in Cairo. The product of Al-Ahly youth system, he joined the first team of the Egyptian Premier League club in 2004 and plays there as a defensive midfielder till today. Hossam is resplendent with providing solid defensive cover that’s why he is regularly deployed during the major tournaments. Thus he featured in the 2005 and 2006 CAF Champions League matches for the giant club and even was named the Man of the final Match against CS Sfaxien according to the reporters’ opinion. Ashour was a part of the team that won seven Egyptian League titles, four CAF Champions League honors, six Egyptian and three African Super Cups.
