Ignacio Camacho Barnola is a Spanish footballer who plays for Málaga in defensive midfield.
Ignacio started his career as a footballer at Real Zaragoza and soon he moved to Atlético Madrid. The footballer made his debut for the team on March 1, 2008 in a victory against Barcelona. Camacho spent 68 minutes since the start of the game until he was substituted. Two months later, on May 3 he scored his first La Liga goal against Recreativo 1 day before coming of age.
In spite of his brilliant performance during the season 2007/08 Camacho started only a few times during the whole next season. That was caused by tensions between the footballer and the coach Javier Aguirre who preferred Maniche to Ignacio. The state of things improved when Abel Resino was appointed a new manager however Ignacio was eventually withdrawn from the main squad for clashes with Maniche.
In 2009/10 Camacho still wasn’t impressive enough for the coaching stuff showing little progress so he was used mainly as a substitute. The following campaign was even less productive so he had to move to Málaga at the end of the year 2010. There he scored his first goal on April 29, 2012 against Valencia. All in all he made 28 appearances with 1 goal for the Andalusians.
