Ignatiy Nesterov. Biography

Ignatiy Nesterov is an Uzbekistani goalkeeper currently playing for Bunyodkor in the Uzbek League. He was born on 20 June 1983 in Samarkand, Uzbek SSR.

Ignatiy embarked on his professional career with his hometown club Samarqand-Dinamo in 2001. But his career really took off at Pakhtakor Tashkent in 2002. Nesterov shortly revealed his full potential and established himself as a first-choice keeper at the team. He amassed 6 consecutive Uzbek League titles and 6 consecutive Uzbek Cups during a seven-year stint at Pakhtakor. Overall, Nesterov made 192 league appearances for the club.

In 2009, Nesterov joined Bunyodkor and plays for the club today. For this time, he has claimed another two league titles and two league cups. Moreover, the goalkeeper made several appearances in the AFC Champions League reaching the semi-finals at the utmost. Ignatiy Nesterov is a regular international for the Uzbekistan national team since 2002.
