Iliyan Mitsanski is a professional Bulgarian footballer currently playing as a striker for Ingolstadt 04 FC on loan from 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He was born on December 20, 1985 in Sandanski, Bulgaria.
Iliyan Mitsanski began his professional career at Pirin Blagoevgrad PFC in 2003. Over 2 years he managed to stab 21 goals in 37 matches of the side. In the summer of 2005 the striker left the club for Amica Wronki (Poland). From 2006 till 2008 the footballer belonged to Lech Poznań. In 2007 Iliyan Mitsanski was loaned to Korona Kielce, but did not get along well with his teammates. In 2008 the footballer went on loan to Odra Wodzisław and scored 5 goals in 13 fixtures.
From 2008 till 2010 Iliyan Mitsanski performed for Zagłębie Lubin. With 26 goals he became the top goalscorer of the Polish First League in the 2008/2009 season.
On June 18, 2010 the striker signed a 4-year contract with 1. FC Kaiserslautern (Germany) and made his official debut on September 22, 2010 in a match against Borussia Dortmund. In 2012 the footballer was loaned to Frankfurt FSV and in 2013 he went on loan to Ingolstadt 04 FC.
In 2010 Iliyan Mitsanski was capped for the Bulgaria national football team.
