Ivan Tsvetkov is a Bulgarian forward, born on 31 August 1979. In youth, Ivan moved to the Netherlands, where he learned the basics of football at SC Heerenveen.
In 1998, the back launched his senior career, sealing a professional deal with the club. Having failed to clinch a place in the starting 11, Tsvetkov had a string of spells at the second division Dutch clubs.
In 2007, Ivan joined Turkish side Sivasspor, where he fired 11 goals in 41 fixtures during one season. After the termination of the contract, the back moved to Azerbaijan. There he performed for Khazar Lankaran and became one of the pillars of the club with 22 goals in 50 matches.
Only in 2011, the footballer made his A PFG start, playing for Pirin Blagoevgrad. Later, he joined Levski Sofia for one season. In June 2012, Tsvetkov sealed a deal with Botev Plovdiv.
