Jakub Wawrzyniak is a Polish defender, born on 7 July 1983 in Kutno, Poland.
On the early stages of his professional career, since 2001 till 2005, Jakub played for such Polish lower-division clubs like MSP Szamotuły, Sparta Oborniki, Sparta Brodnica, Błękitni Stargard Szczeciński, Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. In 2005, he enjoyed a rise joining Widzew Łódź where he spent two fruitful seasons. In 2007, Wawrzyniak moved to a prominent Ekstraklasa side Legia Warsaw and plays there to date. Only in 2009, he had a short loan spell at a Greek side Panathinaikos.
In February 2014 the back moved to a Russian side Amkar Perm.
Since 2006, Jakub Wawrzyniak is a regular international for Poland. He scored his maiden goal in a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Moldova in September 2012.
