James Morrison is a midfielder of West Bromwich. He was born on 25 May 1986 in Darlington, England.
In 1998 James entered the academy of Middlesbrough and spent six years there, cruising through different youth teams of the club. He managed to get the whole picture of the football world, gain necessary experience and take a number of useful pieces of advice from the coaching staff.
In 2004 Morrison was absolutely ready to begin his professional career and the club helped him with that, signing a contract with the midfielder in the same year. James officially became a part of the team, which supported him during several matches of his début season and all following seasons. The midfielder became one of the pivots and came on the pitch in starting XI from 2005 till 2007.
In 2007 James gained an imperious shape and showed a secure performance, which drew the attention of various English teams. West Bromwich took an interest in the footballer and offered him a move the same year. Morrison accepted the offer and joined the club in the summer 2007. Since then, Morrison has been the anchor player in midfield, but he sometimes skips games due to different reasons. From 2007, James made 136 appearances and netted 17 goals for ‘The Baggies’.
From 2002 till 2005, Morrison took part in 17 matches for the England national U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20 teams. From 2008 he was capped 20 times and contributed one goal for the full Scotland squad.
