Jeffrey Gouweleeuw is a back of AZ Alkmaar. He was born on 10 July 1991 in Heemskerk, Netherlands.
Jeffrey’s career took off in local ADO ‘20. In 2006 the young footballer drew the attention of Heerenveen and started to perform for the youth team of the club. In 2009 then head coach Trond Sollied sent Gouweleeuw to the training camp in Turkey and let him on the field in the friendly against MVV Maastricht. The same season, Jeffrey joined the main team of the club and performs for it at the position of a centre back. The following year, then club manager Ron Jans sent the footballer to the training camp in Portugal, where Gouweleeuw managed to make encouraging display. However, his professional début came only on 2 April 2011 in the home 3-2 loss to Rotterdam side Excelsior.
The beginning of the 2011/2012 season was not very fruitful for the back, because he got a trauma, but he showed confident performance throughout the rest of the year. Jeffrey featured in 66 matches and found the net 4 times for Heerenveen during three seasons.
In 2013 the defender joined AZ Alkmaar.
