Jérémy Clément is a French footballer who plays as a midfielder for Saint-Étienne. He was born on August 26, 1984 in Béziers, France.
His career started in 2003 in Lyon, the best club of France of the time. Jérémy performed for them till 2006 having hard times making it to the starting team and eventually gained 10 appearances per season. After three years of performance for Lyon Clément took the pitch only 35 times and scored once.
Jérémy Clément received an offer from Rangers in Scotland in 2006 and joined the club in a 3-year deal. The transfer fee estimated £1.1 million. The footballer still wasn’t a frequent starter as he took the pitch 19 times during the season 2006/07.
PSG decided to return the young midfielder to his homeland offering him a 4-year contract and £1.8 million compensation to Rangers. From the very beginning he was seen as a part of the main squad as he played 140 games and scored 5 goals in 4 years.
Jérémy decided to move forward in 2011 when Saint-Étienne made a bid that was eventually accepted. Clément still performs for the French side though he is not a key unit of the club’s midfield.
