Jim O’Brien is a winger, born on 28 September 1987 in Alexandria, Scotland.
Jim’s career took off in Scottish side Celtic in 2005, when the footballer penned his first professional contract and got a chance to take part in one fixture for the club. In 2008, the winger sealed a temporary deal with Dundee United and made ten appearances for the club before transferring to Motherwell on permanent basis. Jim featured in 64 games and found the net four times for ‘The Steelmen’ during two seasons.
In the summer 2010, the footballer put pen to paper of a contract with Barnsley and stayed with the club for four years. In 2014 he moved to Coventry.
From 2005 till 2006, O’Brien was capped seven times for the Republic of Ireland national U-19 and U-21 squads.
