Jimmy Kébé is a midfielder of Crystal Palace. He was born on 19 January 1984 in Vitry-sur-Seine, France.
In 2002 Jimmy officially became a player of Lens after being groomed in the academy of the club. The footballer was sent to the reserve team, because his professional level did not correspond to the level of the main team and he had to develop his skills in Lens B. Kébé performed for the squad during four years, made 57 appearances and scored six goals.
In 2006 Jimmy left his native Lens for the first time, being sent on a season-long loan to Châteauroux, where he came on the field 18 times both as a substitute and in the starting line-up, and fired two goals. In 2007 the footballer continued his performing on loan in Boulogne, where he featured in 16 games and kicked five goals.
In 2008 Kébé decided to deal with instability of his career by moving to English side Reading, where he was offered a place in the starting XI, but only on the assumption of proper training, as every footballer spends about 80-90% of all time preparing for matches. Jimmy managed to follow the recommendations of the management and his performance got better with time. Kébé became the pivot of the midfield and flanks and amassed 31 goals in 188 games of the club during five years.
In September 2013 Kebe joined Crystal Palace.
From 2005 till 2009, the footballer was capped three times for the Mali national team.
