A Brazilian defender João Filipe Rabelo da Costa Silva plays for São Paulo. He was born on 11 June 1988 in Rio de Janeiro.
João grew up in the youth team of Senda, where he managed two fabulous seasons. In 2008, he got an opportunity on the pro squad, where he played until the end of 2008. In 2009, he was snapped by Mesquita, but he didn’t make a single appearance for the club moving to Figueirense. He spent the season with the first squad, making 51 appearances and netting 2 goals.
In 2011, the defender at once got offers from Flamengo and Botafogo. He preferred to join the second one and after penning a contract was immediately loaned by São Paulo. When the spell ended, the team’s head coach pressed the management to offer Filipe a contract on the permanent basis, so they did. In 2012, he became the official member of the club.
In 2013 he was Filipe was loaned to Náutico.
