Joe Day is a goalkeeper of Peterborough United. He was born on 13 August 1990 in Brighton, England.
Joe’s professional career took off in Rushden & Diamonds in 2009, when the footballer penned his first senior contract and started to train with the main squad of the club. Day took his skills to the new level and managed to gain optimal shape during his début season, which helped him to become a candidate for a regular place between the posts for the following year.
The manager decided the keeper was ready for a spot in the starting XI and saw him make 32 appearances during the 2010/2011 season. Joe’s results drew the attention of Peterborough United, which made everything possible to beat off the competition for the footballer from its rivals.
In the summer 2011, Day officially became a player of ‘The Posh’, but went on loan to Alfreton Town in order to keep fit and gain additional practice. The goalie featured in 15 matches for the club during his spell and returned to his parent Peterborough United.
