Jonathan dos Santos. Biography

Jonathan dos Santos is a Mexican midfielder, born on 26 April 1990 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Jonathan was formed in the youth ranks of Barcelona youth system in between 2002 and 2009. In 2009, his senior career started out with the reserve squad of the club. Already in October, Dos Santos made his first-team debut in a Spanish Cup match against Cultural Leonesa. His Champions League debut wasn’t long in coming as he substituted Andrés Iniesta in a game against Inter Milan in November 2009. Dos Santos played his first La Liga game against Villarreal in January 2010.

Dos Santos failed to make it to Barcelona's main squad and moved to Villarreal in the summer 2014.

Jonathan dos Santos is capped to the Mexico national team since 2009. He made his international debut in a friendly match against Colombia in September 2009.
