Jonjo Shelvey is a midfielder of Swansea City. He was born on 27 February 1992 in Romford, England.
Shelvey’s professional career took off in 2008, when the footballer signed his first contract with Charlton Athletic. Jonjo did not become a regular right from 2008, but he made starts pretty often. During two seasons from 2008 till 2010, Shelvey made 42 appearances and scored seven goals for Charlton.
In 2010 the player signed for English side Liverpool, which had been observing the young midfielder’s performance for a long time. Shelvey made several starts and sub appearances in the new club during his first season, but any young player needs a lot of practice to develop his skills and that is why Liverpool management decided to send him on loan to Blackpool, where Jonjo managed to take part in ten matches and net six goals before he was called back to his parent club.
In 2013 summer transfer window Jonjo joined Swansea City.
From 2007 till 2011 Jonjo was capped 21 times for England national U-16, U-17, U-19 and U-21 teams and contributed eight goals.
