Joost Terol is a Dutch goalkeeper born on 1 February 1980 in Leiden, Netherlands.
Joost’s senior career took off in Utrecht, where the footballer began to perform as a second-choice goalkeeper. However, his steady and encouraging performance convinced the head coach Terol deserved the place of a regular. The keeper made 48 appearances for the club during three years.
In 2006, Joost sealed a one-year deal with Rotterdam side Sparta, but did not come on the field very often and took part in 15 matches during one season.
In 2007, the footballer transferred to Greek side Veria F.C., where he featured in 16 fixtures during one year.
In 2008, Terol’s services were secured by Cypriot side AEP. After making only six appearances during the first half of the season, the keeper finalized a move to Dutch side AGOVV Apeldoorn and spent half a year with the club, which showed good results in the league. Joost took part in 13 fixtures for AGOVV during his spell and sealed a deal with De Graafschap, where he featured in 75 matches during four seasons.
