Jorge Wagner. Biography

Jorge Wagner is a Brazilian midfielder currently playing for Kashiwa Reysol in the Japanese J. League Division 1. He was born on 17 November 1978 in Feira de Santana, Brazil.

Jorge started out his senior career with Esporte Clube Bahia in 1998 and went on with Cruzeiro in 2001. In 2003, he left for Russia where joined Lokomotiv Moscow. However, Wagner spent much time at Corinthians and Internacional on loan from the Russian club. In the 2006/07 season, he signed for Spanish side Real Betis. In 2007, Wagner was loaned by the Brazilian big club São Paulo. Thanks to his outstanding performances, Wagner was offered a permanent contract with the club which he signed in 2008. He made a total of 91 appearances during a three-year stint at the club. In 2011, he moved to the Japanese top-flight side Kashiwa Reysol and plays there today.
