Joris Marveaux plays for Montpellier HSC in the position of a midfielder. He was born on 15 August 1982 in Vannes (France).
Joris started his youth career in Nantes football academy which he entered in 1997. Joris also played for the club’s youth team. With that team the footballer participated at the French youth championship as well as at the Coupe de France. Joris Marveaux’s youth career lasted till 2001.
In 2001 Joris was tried out by FC Lorient which proposed Joris to sign a professional contract. That contract opened new horizons to Marveaux and he wanted to take advantage of the opportunity. Joris agreed to a long-term contract and in the summer of 2001 he joined the French club officially. However the head coach could not find a permanent place for Joris in the major squad because of stiff competition in the team. Apart from Joris there was a surplus of more experienced players. Nevertheless Marveaux played for Lorient until he moved to another club in 2006.
In 2006 Joris was called up to Clermont Foot which played in Ligue 2. Despite the lack of football practice the head coach saw high potential in the player which in his authoritative opinion should have been enhanced. During his first club season Joris appeared practically in all club matches and in the second season he continued his successful performance. In two years Joris took part in 66 matches and scored 1 goal.
In 2008 Joris was awarded a contract with Montpellier HSC. The player accepted the offer which gave him an opportunity to play in Ligue 1. The midfielder signed a lasting contract and currently plays for Montpellier. The coach uses Joris practically in all season matches. Thereby from 2008 till 2012 Joris has already played for the club in more than 100 games scoring 8 goals.
