José Luis Martí Soler is a Spanish footballer playing for RCD Mallorca on a position of a midfielder.
This footballer made his first professional steps being a player of Mallorca. José made his first start for the team when he was 25 years of age in the season 1999/00. Then he played in one match (one closing minute of it to be more exact) when his side faced Deportivo de la Coruña. The footballer decided to join Tenerife in the Segunda for the following season and managed to play an important role in team’s success as the side won their top flight promotion.
After Tenerife’s relegation from the top flight Martí continued playing with the team for one season but then switched to Sevilla FC thus returning to the Primera in July 2003. The move came to be successful as José Luis was a frequent starter for several seasons in a row winning two UEFA Cups, appearing in 24 games and scoring twice in both the campaigns.
In May of 2007 Martí prolonged his deal with the Andalusian club till 2010. However he lost his manager’s trust during the season 2007/08 and was loaned by the second-division Real Sociedad in January of 2008. However José couldn’t help them regain their top-division status.
In July 2008 José Luis Martí, aged 33, returned to Mallorca and became an irreplaceable man on and off the pitch bringing on 2 wonderful seasons. His first goal after his return was scored on 4th October 2009 against Sporting de Gijon. In total he spent 4 seasons for the club from the Balearic Isles making 131 appearances and netting 3 times.
