A Spanish footballer Juan Luis Hens Lorite, also known as Juanlu, performs as a midfielder for Girona. Juan Luis was born on 7 February 1984 in Fuente Palmera, Córdoba.
Hens started his professional career in 2001 at Córdoba. He was selected for the club’s B team, where he was supposed to get more playing practice. In a year, the midfielder got his first opportunity on the club’s main team. The 2002/2003 season was lined with one goal netted in 16 matches.
In 2003, Juanlu moved to Valencia. From 2003 to 2005 he performed for the reserves, making 80 appearances and amassing 20 balls. In 2005, the midfielder was promoted to the club’s main team, but he was almost immediately sent on loan to Lleida. He made 23 appearances and racked up one goal for the temporary squad. In 2006, Hens was bought out by Hércules. Over the course of the 2006/2007 season he appeared 21 times and scored three goals.
In 2007, a move to Granada 74 happened. Juanlu spent the 2007/2008 season with the team netting one goal in 23 games. In 2008, the midfielder’s contract was bought out by Tenerife. Hens very soon established himself as a member of the member of the starting eleven. Altogether, he made 100 appearances and scored eight goals.
In the summer 2011, Juanlu was transferred to Girona. His debut season was lined with two goals netted in 32 games.
On international level, Hens made seven appearances and racked up two goals for the Spain national youth team at U-19 and U-20 levels.
