Kanu. Biography

António Eduardo Pereira dos Santos, better known as Kanu, is a Standard Liège centre back. He was born on 3 May 1984 in Salvador, Brazil.

António began climbing the football Olympus at such Brazilian football clubs as Ituano FC and ABC Natal. In 2008 Kanu moved to his first foreign club from Portugal, Beira Mar.

In 2011 he signed for Jupiler Pro League side Standard Liège. On 15 March 2010, in the match against Hannover 96, the defender scored two own goals. The game ended in a 0-4 defeat to Hannover.
