Kees Luijckx is a Dutch defender born on 11 February 1986 in Castricum, Netherlands.
In 1992, Kees started to play football in Vitesse 1922, where he performed during four years before AZ scouts offered the player a move to their academy. Luijckx trained in the youth system of the club during another ten years and managed to earn an opportunity to pen a one-year contract and become a professional footballer.
Kees’s first season with AZ was very fruitful, because he took part in a half of all league matches. However, in 2007, the player was sent on loan to Excelsior, where he became a regular at once. Luijckx even managed to become the pivot of the temporary team, where he made 44 appearances and found the net three times during his spell.
In January 2010, Kees went on loan again, this time to ADO Den Haag. The footballer took part in 16 fixtures and netted two goals for the team during six months.
In the summer 2010, NAC Breda secured the defender’s services on a three-year deal. Luijckx featured in 92 matches and fired 10 goals for the club.
In 2013 the defender completed a move to Roda.
From 2006 till 2008, Kees was capped seven times for the Netherlands national U-21 team. In 2009, he received a call-up to the Netherlands B.
