Kevin de Bruyne was born on 28 June 1991 near Gent, Belgium and plays for Wolfsburg and the national team as a midfielder.
In 2003, Kevin began his career playing for Gent. Two years later, he transferred to Racing Genk, where the midfielder played in the youth team.
On 9 May 2009, de Bruyne became a regular. On 7 February 2010, Kevin delivered his first goal for Genk, securing three points for his team. In 2010/11 season, the Belgian midfielder scored five goals in 32 matches and his team became the Belgian Pro League Champion for the third time.
In 2012 the talented midfielder signed with ambitious Chelsea but stayed at Genk till the end of the season. During the season 2012/2013 the Belgian played for Werder Bremen on loan. After a brief spell with Chelsea, it was clear that de Bruyne would not be able to make it to the first team and the player moved to Wolfsburg at the beginning of 2014.
The footballer has also played for the Belgium national U19 football team. On 11 August 2010, he made the appearance for the Belgium national football team.
