Kevin-Prince Boateng is a midfielder of A.C. Milan. He was born on 6 March 1987 in Berlin, Germany.
Kevin’s career started in 1994 in the youth academy of Hertha BSC. For a long time Boateng was one of the best students due to his talent and determination.
In 2004 Boateng played for Hertha’s reserve team. In 2005 Hertha BSC offered Kevin to sign a professional contract with the club and join the first-team staff. Starting from 2005 Boateng was periodically included in the starting lineup of Hertha and by 2007 he had 42 games played and 4 goals scored.
In 2007 Kevin received an offer from the English Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Boateng was willing to enter a new stage in his career, especially because players with the English football experience are highly valued by the top European football clubs. In 2007 Kevin became a midfielder of Tottenham, but he wasn’t often included in the starting lineup. By January 2009 he had played only 14 matches for the club. Kevin didn’t want to put up with not being on Tottenham’s starting lineup list, and so he was loaned out to German Borussia Dortmund. For 6 months Kevin had played 10 matches for BVB.
In 2009 Kevin continued his career in Portsmouth F.C. by signing a long-term contract with the club. Despite the player’s big potential, he didn’t become a key player in the club, having scored 3 goals in 22 appearances.
In 2010 Kevin received offers from various European clubs. A.C. Milan’s offer was the most promising and he decided to sign a contract with the Italian club. Starting from 2010 Boateng has been periodically included in the starting lineup and boasts 8 goals in 45 matches.
From 2001 to 2007 Boateng played for the Italian youth teams U-15 and U-21, with 41 appearances and 9 goals. From 2010 to 2011 Boateng was part of the Ghana national football team, with 9 games and 1 goal.
