Keylor Antonio Navas Gamboa is a goalkeeper from Costa Rica who currently plays for Levante UD.
His career started when he was playing for the youth team of Deportivo Saprissa in the Primera of Costa Rica. Navas played in 5 games of the championship of Costa Rica in 2005 also becoming the winner of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
On July 7, 2010 the player was presented as a goalkeeper of Albacete Balompié that played in Spain’s third division. Having spent 36 games for the club he was noticed by the scouts of Levante who offered to take the player on loan. Thus Keylor spent the season 2011/12 playing for the Valencian side. Although he spent only one game for this club they decided to buy out his contract.
As for his career as an international Navas received his first call-up in 2006 when he wasn’t even 20. Keylor has been the main goalkeeper of the Costa Rica national team since 2008. For that time he has made 32 appearances representing his country in different tournaments.
Individually he was awarded the best goalkeeper of the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 2009.
