Enrique (‘Kike’) Sola Clemente is a Spanish striker playing for Athletic Bilbao.
His career started at the Osasuna sports academy. Enrique made his senior debut in June 2007 as a second-half substitute in a match where Osasuna encountered Real Betis. Osasuna won 5-0 as Enrique scored twice.
For the following two years Kike made occasional appearances as a substitute from time to time falling out of football because of injuries. In June 2009 Sola was sent on loan to Numancia in the second division for one season.
Even avoiding injuries Sola failed to make it to the entry list. The player couldn’t put up with such state of things and decided to break his deal with the side and move to a Greek club Levadiakos in 2010, on a half-season loan, eventually returning to Osasuna in the summer.
Kike was mostly a benchwarmer during the season 2010/11 and made occasional appearances provided by other strikers’ injuries. In March of 2011 the changes that the forward was looking forward to suddenly came. Osasuna renewed their coaching stuff and both of the starting strikers got injuries at the same time so Kike appeared in the start for three consecutive matches and managed to score three times (against Racing, Atlético and Hércules). Performing further he became the team’s best goal scorer outstripping his rivals for less than half of the season. Throughout his career at Osasuna he made 91 appearances with 21 goals since 2007.
After that spell Kike Sola swicthed for Athletic Bilbao.
