Koke. Biography

Jorge Resurección Merodio (or simply Koke) plays on a position of a midfielder for Atlético Madrid.

He started to play football at the age of 8 at the academy of Atlético Madrid. Then in 2008 he was brought to Atlético’s reserve team Atlético Madrid B.

The first game of the youngster was held against Almeria in 2009 where he was fielded in the closing 10 minutes of the game. That season he was involved in three games. As a part of his team he won the Europa League of 2010 and the UEFA Super Cup of the same year. Moreover Koke became a Copa del Rey finalist together with Atlético Madrid.

The talented player was an integral part of Atlético’s 2011/12 squad. He managed to score his first league goal on April 29, 2012 in a 2-2 draw game against Real Betis.
