Kostas Manolas is a Greek central defender born on 14 June 1991in Naxos, Greece.
He started out his career at Thrasyvoulos in 2005. In 2009, Kostas signed his first professional contract with AEK Athens. It was his favourite club since childhood and Manolas played to the full capacity to get a legendary status there like his uncle Stelios Manolas. He played his first match in AEK jersey against AO Kavala. Manolas scored his maiden goal against bitterest rivals Olympiacos on 19 May 2010. It’s a tidbit, that the player had his jugal broken since the 1st minute but despite this he netted a goal six minutes into the match. He was an instrumental figure during the 2011/12 season as he made a string of terrific performances in the Europa League and also helped the club to win the Greek Cup. Overall, Kostas made 67 appearances for AEK Athens for his three-year stint at the club.
In the 2012/13 season, Manolas moved to Olympiacos where he plays till the date.
On the international level, Kostas Manolas earned 5 caps to the Greece U21 team in between 2009 and 2011.
