Kristi Vangjeli. Biography

Kristi Vangjeli is an Albanian defender currently playing for FC Chornomorets Odesa in the Ukrainian Premier League. He was born on September 5, 1985 in a town of Korçë, Albania.

In between 1990 and 2004, Kristi was playing as a youth for such clubs as Skënderbeu Korçë, Agios Georgios and Aris FC. In 2003, Vangjeli signed a professional contract with the Greek Super League side where played for eight years amassing 106 appearances.

In 2011 Kristi Vangjeli switched to a Ukrainian side FC Chornomorets Odesa to play in the Premier League of Ukraine. The Albanian wasn’t the only one who competed for a place in the starting eleven. During his first season for Chornomorets he was involved in 15 games of the club.

Since 2007 Kristi Vangjeli is regularly capped to the Albania national team.
