Leandro Castán. Biography

Leandro Castán is a Brazilian defender currently playing for Roma in the Italian Serie A. he was born on 5 November 1986 in Jaú-SP, Brazil.

Leandro began his professional career at Atlético Mineiro in 2005. In 2007, he moved to Swiss to join Helsingborgs IF. Castán cut a brilliant figure in a UEFA Cup match against PSV as he scored an only goal of his team. In the 2009 season, the defender transferred to Barueri and then moved to the Brazilian giants Corinthians. He helped them to win the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 2011. In the 2012/13 campaign, Castán signed for Italian side Roma and plays for a Serie A team to date.

Leandro Castán made his international debut in a friendly game against Japan in October 2012.
