A Brazilian footballer Leandro Donizete Gonçalves da Silva acts as a midfielder for Atlético-MG. Leandro was born on 5 May 1982 in Araraquara.
Leandro grabbed his first pro contract with Ferroviaria Futebol S.A in 2005. He spent 4 years at the club gaining playing experience. Whilst performing for the squad, Donizete proved to be a clever player who has a good vision and lightning fast reflex. Despite winning no honors while defending the club, the midfielder was noticed by other Brazilian clubs.
In 2008, he was hired by Coritiba. Leandro’s club career at Coritiba turned to be very successful. He became the squad’s anchor player, winning the Campeonato Paranaense three times (in 2008, 2010 and 2011). The spell was also lined with getting the title in the 2010 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. After producing such a fabulous performance, Leandro was scouted by Atlético Mineiro. Hardly had he settled in the new team, when the further honor followed. In 2012, the midfielder became the winner of Campeonato Mineiro.
