A Brazilian footballer Leandro Luchese Guerreiro acts as a defensive midfielder for Cruzeiro. He was born on 17 November 1978.
Leandro’s junior career had passed at the academy of the local club São Luiz, where the footballer retained until 1999, when he was selected for Internacional’s senior team.
In 2002, Leandro was hired by Guarani and in a year he moved to Italy, where he performed for Salernitana. In 2004, a transfer to Napoli happened. The season spent with the club wasn’t fortunate, as the midfielder appeared 3 times. The following two years were spent trying to settle in at such clubs as Ponte Preta, Pescara and Criciúma.
In 2007, the footballer came back to Brazil, where he was scouted by Botafogo. His club career with the team would span for three seasons. Whilst playing for the squad, Leandro was thrice the holder of Taça Rio (2007, 2008, and 2010) and twice the holder of Taça Guanabara (2009, 2010).
In 2011, a long-term deal was sealed with Cruzeiro. Guerreiro has already featured in more than 50 club’s fixtures.
