Lee Tomlin is a striker of Peterborough United. He was born on 12 January 1989 in Leicester, England.
In 1998, Lee passed all the necessary tests and joined the academy of local Leicester City, where he gained the initial playing practice with a junior squad of the club. It took the footballer seven years to become a workmanlike and promising candidate for a regular spot in the main squad, but he decided to give a final touch to all the preparations for a senior start in the youth system of Rushden & Diamonds and put pen to paper of his first professional contract with the new club in 2005.
Tomlin was given a chance to make occasional appearances on the pitch in his début season, but the management decided he lacked experience and sent him on loan to Brackley Town, where the striker netted one goal in three fixtures during his spell. After his temporary contract had expired, Lee returned to his parent team and took his tally to 27 goals in 158 matches by 2010.
In the summer 2010, the footballer drew the attention of Peterborough United and put pen to paper of a contract with the new club. Tomlin clinched a regular place in the starting XI and became the pivot, who amassed 29 goals in 121 games for ‘The Posh’ as of February 2014.
In 2014 Tomlin was loaned to Middlesbrough.
In 2009, the striker was capped two times and contributed one goal for England C.
